Working together changes everything.
LaunchPad is a creative marketplace built for the people behind the work — photographers, videographers, editors — and the clients who need them at their best. We built it because the old way of finding and booking creative talent is broken, and the people who pay for that most are the creatives themselves.
// The work
Gig platforms treat creatives like line items. Race to the bottom on price. Take 20% of every invoice. Offer no loyalty to the people who do the work.
Working creatives deserve better than that.
They deserve a place that understands what it means to be on a shoot at 6 AM, to edit through the night, to build a reputation over years of craft — and to still spend half their time chasing leads and following up on invoices instead of shooting.
That's the problem LaunchPad solves.
Create More. Chase Less.
LaunchPad is a two-sided creative marketplace. Creatives build a presence and get booked. Clients find the right team for any project.
The signature feature is LaunchDeck — multi-creative team booking, up to five creatives in one project. A photographer, a videographer, an editor, a drone pilot, a creative director. One booking. One brief. One project home.
Most platforms are built for solo gigs. LaunchPad is built for the way creative work actually happens: in collaboration.
// In the room together
LaunchPad runs on a freemium model with flat fees. We don't take a commission on creative work.
When a client books a photographer through LaunchPad, the photographer keeps 100% of what the client pays. We don't clip a percentage. We don't take a cut of the craft.
We earn when LaunchPad adds real value — not when creatives do.
LaunchPad started in Providence, Rhode Island. It will always carry that.
Rhode Island has a dense, talented creative community — photographers, videographers, editors who are doing genuinely great work and competing for the same small pool of local leads. We're building here first because we know the market and because if we can solve the booking problem in a small market with high competition and low margins, we can solve it anywhere.
Providence → New England → East Coast → National.
We're early. We're building. And we're rooted here.
David Cambranes
Founder & CEO
David founded LaunchPad because he saw what the gig economy was doing to creative professionals — specifically the ones he'd worked alongside. He spent years in media and marketing, watched talented people get commoditized by platforms that didn't understand their work, and decided to build the one he wanted to exist. LaunchPad is his full-time work.
Abby Cambranes
Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)
Abby is joining as the company scales, owning brand, content, and operations as LaunchPad grows. She brings the creative and operational mind that will shape how LaunchPad moves — from the community we build to the systems behind the platform.
Every great mission has a mascot. Ours is Atlas.
He's an astronaut — helmeted, unhurried, ready for whatever comes next. He's the spirit of what we're trying to do: reach further, move forward, stay curious. LaunchPad is the launchpad. Atlas is what happens when you trust the platform and go.
LaunchPad is in closed beta in Rhode Island. If you're a working creative — photographer, videographer, editor — this was built for you.
